Floor repair Service

Some marbles are prone to getting cavities, holes and cracks. f marble floor is not taken care of properly, the cavities and cracks keep on increasing in size and number. Mostly wax polished floors are prone to cavitation and cracking as the water vapour below the floor have no outlet to escape. A floor with resin treatment and powder polishing is less prone to this problem. Clients should choose wisely when buying marble. However this option may not be available to those buying finished apartments.

We repair floors with high level of cavities and cracks using various types of filling compounds. The compounds can be semi-solid, semi liquid or highly liquid depending on the requirement.

Since the shades of stone varies a lot and the shades of the fillers are limited, the repair may not match the floor perfectly. However a finished floor does not look too bad since the gloss too helps in covering any shade variation.

The repair cost varies from site to site depending on the level of repair needed and the area offered for the repair

Floor Sealing Service

For Indoor floors-

For indoor floors, the sealer application is recommended but is optional. It does not increase shine. Sealers are special chemicals which offer protection to the marble. Best sealers penetrate into the stone and form a thin layer under the surface. So, these are able to withstand regular mopping and cleaning. However the sealers provide protection for about 3-6 months and need to be renewed periodically. Various types of sealers are available and are selected based on the requirement of the client. Mainly the sealers are used for the below reasons-

1) Protection from water

2) Protection from water and stains

3) Protection from UV rays of sun

4) Protection from water and stains and colour enhancement

For Exterior Floor

For exterior floors, sealer application is recommended and necessary. The stone installed outside are exposed to uv rays of the sun and rain. This regular change in moisture and temperature especially in India makes the stone lose shine very quickly. Application of sealer protects the stone from the weather elements and ensures that the stone maintains its finish for a long time.

Mainly the exterior sealers are used for the below reasons-

1) Protection from water

2) Protection from water and stains

3) Protection from UV rays of sun

4) Protection from mosses and other organic matter
