Chairs with Paint Stains
Chairs after cleaning

We were contacted by a client from Palam Vihar. Due to an accident, the painter had ended up spraying wall paint onto her newly upholstered leatherette dining chairs. The client was a bit distraught as she and painter had tried to clean the chairs but it did not work.

Main issues that we had to consider before undertaking the job were-

1) The wall paint is very difficult to remove fully.

2) Paint colour was white, contrasting with the black colour of the leatherette.

3) Material was not smooth but textured.

We undertook the job on the understanding that there was only about 60% chance of success. We had to be careful not to damage the material while cleaning. It took about 3 hours for a two member team to clean six chairs. We used a leather polishing cream to replenish essential oils in the material. The results were quite good. The client was happy and the painter who had caused the spray was relieved.
